    Hi Friends,

I am looking to buy a domain, which is expired on 05-September-2013 (2013-09-05)
Today that is on 11th November 2013 I am trying to renew it but unable to register, tried searching in couple of registrars but the same.

Checked WHOIS records Registrar Status says redemptionPeriod

When is it expected to be available? As I Checked this status is for 30days only for the user to give a chance to renew it. But this domain is already expired 2 months 5days back.

THank you for your help in advance.

    2 months , 5 days : Redemption period
    5 days more : Pendingdelete .

So you have to wait 5 days more after 11th Nov.

    -------------------
    One example
    --------------------
Current Status of google.com (just example) : PendingDelete
    Important Dates
    Expires OnSeptember 02, 2013
    Registered OnSeptember 02, 2009
Updated OnNovember 07, 2013 from redemption period to pending delete .

I can register this domain on/after 12th Nov or backorder it .

NO friend, still unable to register it.
    Status showing as follows:

    Domain Status:On-hold (redemption Period)

Any suggestions what to do If I need the domain ?
If I Backorder, I doubt on these agencies that they will not give & reg themselves & try to sell me for a quick more buck.
I also doubt if I keep suggesting the domain again & again some insiders leak data & book it off...

    Abhishek

    hi ,

I think i asked you to wait 5 days rather than 1 day ?

Backorder charge you somewhat more bucks yet do this work more precisely .

    Thanks

I think it's more than 8days I started this post, initially you said wait for a day more.
Then 5 Days, Now 8Days past, now the domain is changed status as Pending Deletion.

"wasqascheema" says 3months after deletion. Can anybody put light when is it possible or any website/page where full information is available ?

If it is a halfway decent domain, it will usually go up for auction and cost big dollars. It is easiest to find out who is the expired domain partner is of the registrar who currently holds the domain and then place a backorder. it used to be that domains had to go from redemption period to pending delete before they are eventually deleted and made available to the public, not sure if that process has since changed.

    The domain is now in
    (on-hold (pending delete))

    But the registrar is changed
Expiry is extended to next year.
Backorder on Domain Tools is taking to SnapNames & asking for $69 now.

Indeed you must not count on exact dates, when it comes to a domain in Redemption. Although the domain life cycle has some fixed time frames, those are not necessarily the same at all times.

If you let your domain go into Redemption, basically you can get it only if you possess one of the following - money or luck!
As you might be aware the domain redemption fee is quite high so many people take your approach - wait for the domain to be available again. But this hides its risks. As mentioned by lan28, if the registrar decides that your domain holds some value, they might try and sell it on an auction or just for a higher price. At the end of the day, even if the registrar decides to release it again, many times the end date varies and gives options to others to backorder it or snatch it just before you register it again.

Does that domain have PR? If yes, maybe it is on bidding. Expired domain with PR often get on auction before you can directly purchase.
