Here are a few tips to get an idea...
    1) Visit NameBio.com and search for similar domains to see what they've sold for.
    2) Lookup potential buyers to get an idea on how big their company is. Doing a simple Google search may reveal company information such as the number of employees they have, their annual revenue reports..etc. All this will give you an idea of whether they can afford $XXX prices or $XXXX+ prices.
    3) Decide whether you want to sell to end users or resellers. If you want to sell to end users (for example, emailing potential buyers) then you don't want to list your domain on forums and other places the end users could lookup and find them listed at. If you decide to sell to resellers (for example, listing for sale on this forum) then consider listing it multiple places to increase views.

Agree with kingofking! Anyway, .com is king! If you are new, don't waste your time on other extensions. Experience will teach you.

If that name includes any dictionary word. Check the density of that particular word. If searches are high of that word. Sale it on high price.
