Facebook's role in SEO

As I know Google does not know how much our url is liked in Facebook!
So why when we share an url on Facebook it improve SEO?
Please give me some explaination

I shared my URL on the Facebook for getting some traffic and yes I am getting the traffic from the Facebook.

It does not matter for me about how the Google treats FB likes.

 

Facebook has basically no SEO value.

You might get some traffic if you post something interesting but SEO juice is nothing from facebook.

 

Its a SOCIAL signal, which now plays a role in ranking sites as it did before actually...

As you want to have your website more visible you should be on Facebook. As SEO impact is ZERO but you should be there, as well on Twitter and LinkedIn for more visibility. You have to think about the long term impact by having your website in these 3 social networks. For sure, from my proper experience, will not harm by any kind your website.

 

Google knows you can buy links so there's no real point

 

I definitely get traffic from Facebook links that I post on my Timeline. And if a Facebook "friend" shares that link, you can get traffic from his/her Facebook friends who click the link. SEO value? — I don't know or really care, because the traffic from Facebook is the big plus. After all, our efforts at SEO and every other activity we do on behalf of our website is to get targeted traffic. So why ignore Facebook, which is a great source of traffic?

P.S. I just checked my Google Analytics and found that I had 88 visitors from Facebook to my website over the last 30 days. It takes only a few minutes to add a link to your FB Timeline. If I hadn't, I would have missed those 88 visitors.

 

Social signals are Google's measure of how much a site is relevant to the audience, the more signals, then it is perceived (By Google) that your site is giving a quality experience and thus they reward you with better SEO rankings.

From a marketers perspective though, you should think of facebook as a bar full of people who you can approach and influence directly.

Don't waste your time trying to make friends when your business needs leads and customers or clients.

I have lots of friends, but I can count the ones I'd actually buy something from on one hand with fingers left over.

Its the heart of lead generation, you need leads, not friends, don't get overly distracted trying to get as many likes from irrelevant people..TARGET..TARGET...TARGET!!!!

 

Facebook is just a media which can be used as your link building process.Although back links are an important aspect of search engine optimization (SEO), that’s not all that your team should be focused on.
As seo is a process of generating quality backlinks and content for your site so FB is one you can use to do so.

By all means, have an active presence on social media. It can help you grow your brand by leveraging your existing relationship. But don’t make the mistake of thinking that more Facebook activity is the most important Google ranking factor.

Facebook have impact on SEO..But not directly..Strong presence in Facebook give a site online reputation. If a site have many fans on Facebook, then it will get many shares and will reach many more people and definitely some website or blog or many will link to that popular site..and we all know links are essential part of SEO..Again as a matter of "Real Time Search" features of search engines like Google, social media has become a part of SEO..both have advantages and both are co-related..

 

Facebook does not play so big and important role in SEO, but if you have for example 100,000 fans in your Facebook page/group you can drive a lot more visitors to your website. Then, if about 5% of them like your page (5,000 people!), they could share your page with their friends or post an article about your website in their blogs! So, it could be profitable to get some good backlinks, but it delivers best results if you sell something (AFFILIATE MARKETING!)
