Where to get images for sample websites?

I am creating my Web Design portfolio and i only have made 1 website for a client. So I've created 20 sample websites to showcase my skills but i need images for content e.g. eCommerce website. Where do i get these images? For example, i have made a food shopping website, where do i get these images for the products? where do i get images for shoes? etc

Help appreciated, these aren't real websites, just sample websites to show what i can do, so i need relevant images.

its called stock photo sites or images.google.com

you can even get it from themeforest.net ( the provide sample content to authors)

goto authors section, just under the accounts, you will find lots of download links there for sample content for authors, these are all royalty free.

i like 123rf.com but there are many around. Search for "royalty free stock photos"/

Legally, 123rf.com are happy if you use their photos (with the protection embeded) in mockups, or psds, and if the client likes the design, this is when you purchase the actual image.

What do you mean by "protection embeded"? Watermark?

Thanks, i'm looking on themeforest.net but i don't see where you can get sample content. Where do i go to find it?

here is an image at random:
    http://www.123rf.com/photo_12964753_frequently-asked-questions-handwritten-on-a-blackboard.html
in the middle is the water mark. the watermark is a symbol so that we know whos website the image belongs to. they do this so that you cant use it for production. and once you pay, you can download the version without the watermark.

    here is one from istockphotos
    http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-21457451-garden-harvest.php?st=41a5401
again, you can see the watermark / protection so that you cant steal it.

BUT they (or at least 123rf.com as I have asked them) are happy to use this for mock designs, drafts etc, so long as its NOT used on a website until its paid for.

I agree with flaminbo, pixabay is a great resource of Public Domain Images
Here is an alternative, i found freedigitalphotos . net as an alternative too if you need more images, but they only give a small image as freebies only sized from 400x400px maximum

You can find some great photos on Flickr creative commons if you put in some time searching. Be sure to give a link back to the photographer though and make sure the photo is under licensing that will work for you (i.e. non-commercial or whatever).

You could try http://www.sxc.hu/ This website supplies you with free stock images, but be sure to check the license to make sure the photographer is happy for you to use them should you need them for commercial use!
