Windows 8 is great when you install startisback and modernmix. It is just windows 7 except faster & with more features.

Windows 8 has more interaction with the new TouchScreen functions that they are having. I mean if you are not using a Touch Screen PC or laptop, then the obvious choice has to be Windows 7. I'm facing many many many many bugs in Windows 8 now. Probably need some time for Microsoft to fix all the issues and bugs in Windows 8 :X

Voted for Windows 7 because it's better in terms of usability and compatibility, however I've tried Win 8 and it has some nice features such as very fast start/wake up. I've heard horror stories about compatibility issues, but I only used Win 8 to surf internets and watch movies, so I didn't encounter any problems...

Windows 7. Microsoft must do something quick to their new Windows if they don't want the Windows 8 become the new Windows Vista.

in my opinion windows 7 better than windows 8. Windows 8 brought nothing innovative to the desktop.
Windows 8 is faster than Windows 7, but that's about it -- and that dual interface mess makes it slower for practical purposes.

I have been using windows 8 for a while now and I think it is really awesome. I am a fan of tablets/ipads or touchscreen technology and it really just suits me because I like it how I can interact with the technology more closely. I would suggest that you try a touch interface and it is good for the windows 8, and that's what I think it was built for. I really want to get the touchpad ultrabook to continue my work.

I'll be sticking with Windows 7, didn't like Windows 8 at all. Not a fan of the whole metro start screen.

i'd say that Windows 8 is better. People that did not try new Metro interface just do not get how it is comfort in use. Also new task manager is awesome.

I will stick with Windows 8.1 Pro. Much better than others.
If you are on Windows 8, then it's better to update to Windows 8.1 as this one is stable OS.
