DP SPY showing "Reported post".. Is that right?

To me, the "Report" button is a very useful feature by which I can report something/someone which is against the rules of this forum. However, I assume many users would have felt comfortable to use it as it gives them the ability to report anonymously.

But, I see that the SPY tool is showing who reported the post and what post he/she reported. I am not sure if many of the users would like it.

Now more people know about it. :p So naughty users might start watching it to see who reports their posts (but I don't really care if someone knows I did).

LOL :D But, I am not sure if every user who reports any post or member will feel OK to get it published

If someone is so paranoid about their own posts that they are wanting the spy to see if someone reported it, they probably deserve to be banned for whatever they are doing.

If you are worried about this, then make sure the post of the member you are reporting isn't using the spy feature.
If the member is offline then it's best time to report.

If you go to *Privacy* on your profile then go to *Identity*, can't you disable (or do something) with the spy?

I don't think so it's about profile view not applied to rest of forum & who cares about it and in most of case spammers are just newly registered members who had <10 post :p they don't know all features of forum. :)

The problem can arise if, let's say, someone has AdSense ads on their site and that site is part of their DP signature. They report someone and the next thing they know their AdSense account is being banned, simply because the reported poster clickbombed their AdSense account.

I agree with kingofking, the privacy of a thread/post reporter has to be anonymous. I am surprised that most of you think otherwise...

People who report stuff do a favor to DP, why should they NOT be doing this anonymously? Makes no sense to me.

I can see why you might be alarmed but it would be a huge fluke to see your post being reported on spy.

I've had countless threats of click bombing to have me banned from adsense. Has happened yet.
