How many articles does a writer normally writes in a day??

I can do 5,000 words in a day.. That's the top I can do. But that would depend on the topic and type of article needed..

 

I write SEO optimized articles for my sites and will usually spend 1-2 hours per 500-700 word article including research. I will usually write 4-5 articles in a typical day.

 

How many words in an average article? And, how well do you want the article polished. Those factors will influence how long an article takes from start to finish. Not to mention how much time it will take to research.

It depends upon the complexity of the article, if the article extensive research, one article per 1000 words per day but if the article does not require much research, two articles per 1000 words.

 

It is a very subjective question, as writer is a human being and capabilities of every human being differs from person to person, moreover writer's personal experience, knowledge about the particular topic, research and analysis required, his own capability to recollect all his thoughts and sequence it out in an appropriate manner, etc maters a lot while evaluating an efficieny of any writer.

 

I can get an article I am happy to post on one of my sites ready in about an hour, that is 500+ words, but I have some advantages, I am a native English speaker, I have voice recognition software (dragon naturally speaking), I have a multi screen set up for my desktop, and I am a very fast reader (for the research), but then again no one in the IM world wants to pay what I would charge to write for them either.

It is as they say "horses for courses", if you stick to what you know writing is easy, if you are clueless about the subject then you will struggle some, that is human nature.

 

The best I have done is write 10 articles in a day but hard topics naturally take more time

 

Depends on the articles. In 8 hours for me the normal target must be between 8 and 10 articles... Nice question by the way

 

It can be seen that one cannot come at a conclusion with perfect average no. of articles among all the writers, Individuality affects a lot.

 

Most days I can write one really good article. Somedays I can write more, but I never agree in advance to more than one really well researched article a day.

It all depends on the length of articles and the abilities of the author.
I write anywhere between 20 and 100 posts/articles per day, these are usually 300 - 500 words, and one or two fiction pieces of about 1,300 words. The majority of my work is creating content from supplied media, so it's not the same as researching a topic to write a full article of 1000 words.

 

It all depends on the type of work required. It is possible to copy write 500 words in 30 minutes. Therefore 8 to 15 articles a day is possible. As to my experience, writing a quality and researched article containing 800 - 1500 words takes almost 6 - 8 hours. May be more experienced person might take less time to produce quality articles.

 

Experience says all, while a newbie struggle around 2-3 hours to write a good 700 words article, an experienced writer can do it in as low as 20 minutes or even less.

 

I think 4-5 articles in 8 hours as good research is needed to write a good informative article.

 

I am in a learning phase, but i have experienced that a person can write 2500 - 3500 words, good quality and reliable articles with minimum research in 24 hours.

 

Without research, an article can be ready in 15 minutes.
With research you'd need about double or thrice that time.
