Yandex versus Google

In Russia yes(its optimised for it), in rest of the world, no..

It's actually not comparable. Yandex is completely(far more than Google) optimised for Russia and some ex-Soviet countries, while Google is simply Google and keeps the rest of the planet. So..if you're Russian - Yandex, otherwise Google..

 

Yep, you are right. But even in Russia many people prefer to use google. Also this summer mail service mail.ru submitted their own search engine (earlier they used google and yandex algorithms).

 

Nop , yandex is bad, google is way more better !

 

As for me, we are comfortable of using Google because it is best in most part of the world. But Yandex used in Russia only.

 

I tried using yandex for a day it was weak, then I booked mark a search and when I opened the bookmark yandex said the "banned my ip address" for automated searches. ?

It's not like I am going to use a proxy just to use a grade C search engine. Maybe I will try it again in a couple of years(if my ip is still not banned)

 

Bro. Yandex is the best search engine in Russia but not all over the world because there are many search engines which has more priority then Yandex like Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask etc.

Let's hope if yandex can beat those search engines and be the best in the world.

Yandex is local Russian search engine. Google is global.

 

Mail very comfortable for me against gmail. Also Yandex has Yandex.disk Test their services, you may be wonder.

Yes I do agree that popularity is within Russian countries but Google is ultimate all over the globe now..

Google is not better, to me. It's just that we're all used to it. I found Yandex to retrieve relevant results when I experimented with it last month. The experiments go on, though. It would be interesting to read some case histories from expert members of this forum.

I disagree. Even for Russian queries Google has a better search results than yandex.

 

I don't think it's correct to compare Yandex and Google.
Yandex is a bit younger (97 vs 96), but it's important to notice that all those years yandex was growing just in Russia (and several more countries).
But about 1-2 years ago Yandex started to try to become worldwide search engine. And it's clear to me that they already have some success.
We'll see what will Yandex become in several years. I think it will take its audience.

For today Yandex's algorithms are more stronger in detecting link spam and behavioral factors. So many doorway webmasters prefer to work with google. Webmaster's panel by Yandex is much more comfortable to use (just like their analytics system - Yandex metrics).
