Use your graphical real estate to explain your proposition. Also don't add photos of people, research indicates that this turns people off. Be sure to offer free products.(this works) And don't forget to give discounts. Remember to add lots of color and bold letters, good luck to you with this.
Really, Dont use people? That is bad advise....Research shows that using a woman with a smile increases CTR. Also, dont use more than 3 colors.
What if I don't have offers or discount to offer? Shouldn't I run banner campaign? and how to design a 100 x 100 banner to be more effective
I'm not sure what banners or CTR you're talking about but I write AdWords ads for this company and as someone working on the other end of the system, I try to achieve a few basic things: Inclusion of the keyword you're targeting - super-duper important (Possibly the most important). Overall consistency - headline claim should match the overall claim of the ad (don't target 2-3 different ideas in the ad). Include a USP and move it as further up the ad as possible (preferably in the headline). Things like Free Shipping, % Off, etc. If you have a blog and are looking to boost the number of clicks you get on the ads that you're running, I think the same rules pretty much apply. o your keyword research and try to target it as best as you can. Google will match ads to it and you will get clicks automatically. Or make a list of the ads that are running on your site and try to funnel your visitors towards them by creating targeted content. I hope all that wasn't too much of technical jargon to you. Good luck.
The word is spelt this way. (advice) Obviously your "research" was misinterpreted by you, or you just pulled it out of your head. Advertising is what I do for a living. Unlike you, I actually have researched this subject.
Make it RED AND BOLD SO IT STANDS OUT from the background. Attractive normal looking females also has shown to improve CTR.
Flash banner really boost your CTR. I don't know about much "color combination" because mostly I outsource my work but still don't add peoples & it's really help you to boost/increase CTR unless for enhancement, pharma or pornography related products. Don't show minor details and only concentrate, what actually buyers looking!
Ha ha xD Jimmy, I really confident about that OP has avatar from virtual desktop girl. So, I thought OP have interest in adult product.
First part of your post I might agree with. As to the 2nd part, kindly show us the proof, how or where did you see that it "has shown to improve CTR". You guys seem to have all this info....where is it?
Can you give some examples for some free products? I think you don't mean quantity discounts (eg, buy x amount and get y amount for free). So you suggest giving a different product for free. What kinds of free products work better? Thanks.
AppSumo for example offers free Google Analytics secrets and consequently has a very high click through rate. You could also offer free shipping or free services such as consultations and assessments etc. if you are able to. Not knowing your particular business, it's hard for me to offer you specific advice.
Sorry for my dumb post the first time over. I got confused with the banner part of your question and went on to blabber about text ads. It doesn't really have to be red, or bold, for that matter. As long as it stands out, it will be seen. Check out this post on SocialTriggers: http://socialtriggers.com/best-color-for-conversions/ And as far as the female thing goes, I think it will be appropriate in some situations. High def pictures of families, kids playing, animals (pets) (for eStores that sell clothing, accessories, shoes, travel packages, etc.) or something's that's relevant to the niche will probably have the same effect.
That pretty much sums it up. Unless we know your niche market and what you are trying to sell it'll be impossible to make a usable recommendation. Look through the threads here and you'll find threads that talk about looking at the age, gender, culture and interests of your target market. If your product has broad appeal then you may be able to use one banner in many locations - or you may be better to have a collection of banners that are displayed on niche sites that the banner specifically addresses.
