    Where is disavow tool located?

    Will the Google Webmaster disavow tool remove listing of backlinks in Links to Your Site once it has been listed to remove in disavow tool?

    Hossain, I am agree with you. In the webmaster tools has no any specific option for disavow links. You can get it form google support center.

    personally, at one time, i had a bunch of really spammy links pointing at me. I tried to get those removed manually by contacting the blog owners, no response. So, i used the dis-allow tool.

    it was months back, and i still have those links pointing to me in the webmaster central under the - links to me, section.

    but perhaps the disallow tool worked and Google has counted that into their algo, but the links in that section of webmaster tools remains even now.

    Disavow tool is the new tool updated by Google in Webmaster tools. You can check you current backlinks and can also request to delete low quality backlinks, if there is any in your backlink's list.

    It wouldn't take much time. Webmaster tool would acknowledge you about the link you simple need to remove them from the websites.

    After submitting the disavow text file , Google will re-index your back-links list, it may need 1-2 weeks or more.

    This one is nice to watch as well. The bottom-line here is: Google doesn't want to you provide long stories about how you had tried to remove links in the disavow txt file. This file is just for Google to track links that you want to disavow.

    All explanations should go into the reconsideration request.

    You can use disavow.txt name for saving the text file and you should to use notepad (save as file with encoded in UTF-8").
