Follow real followers and tweet interesting news in your twitter a/c, you will get good followers from twitter.

 

buying followers is literally pointless.

the point of having a large follower base is to gather a large crowd interested in what you or your business has to say. If you buy followers it's essentially like having a crowd or robots stand there in front of you as opposed to thinking human beings who are there for a reason - to hear what you have to say!

Know your subject matter, catch onto any popular subjects to do with your business/self and engage with your audience. As long as your posts are not too frequent (can appear spammy) and are on subject then you should naturally grow in followers. Asking for followers to Re-tweet messages or images etc can help but again, in moderation, you don't want to be asking for followers so much that it frustrates the followers you already have.

Really depends on the business, some legit businesses would love to have 100 real people rather then having 1 million fake accounts.
Its really on the person who wants the followers, I love the way of doing everything in a legitimate way.
