I have a blog. Ive been adding content to it just about everyday. By doing this I have gotten more traffic. But the thing is no one is clicking on my links. I have made sales but none is clicking on my links. Any suggestions?
Have you made sure your links stand out? Does clicking on them provide your visitors with actual or perceived VALUE?
I guess they mean affiliate links. It's hard to give sold advice as we don't have much information to work with, but the OP needs to think about their audience and monetise appropriately. In content affiliate links, obvious ads, listing products for sale at the end of a review, etc. Try to do some research, whether a short questionnaire, analysing competitors, etc. Or for better advise, provide a link to your site.
@kb24, Adding fresh content to your blog is important for search engine optimization. I'm not sure what you mean that you made sales and yet, no one is clicking on your links. Are there other methods to make sales besides your affiliate links or are you saying that there are other sites that are generating sales besides your blog? Do your links stand out and where do you have your links placed on your blog? Can you share your blog with us so we can see for ourselves?
I have my links hyperlinked within the blog post..i I have been writing articles in article directories linking back to my blog to get traffic to it. its a blogger blog in the relationship niche..like I said I have made sales maybe that was just luck
I'm still not sure how your links are embedded into your articles. Without seeing what your blog looks like and how appealing it is, I can't offer much more. Be sure to your blog CONTENT is spectacular. Your words, your website's feel, your graphics/images and maybe even your video (if you have any). If your content is good, you might turn 1% of visitors to your site into a buying customer. If it's bad, you might get 1 customer out of every 500 visitors.
You got traffic, but no one want to click any links. I guess you need to write more convincing post to encourage your visitors to learn more about it and hopefully they will make some purchase. Or you may write and target more on buyer intent keywords. These type of traffic will bring more sales conversion.
@werliyu...good input. @kb24...if your content was more appealing to people's emotions, that is another direction you need to take. Ask yourself, how are you solving people's problems in your relationship blog? Are you coming across as someone who understand how your audience is feeling? Were you at that point in your life and now you have the solution?
Thanks for providing your blog. Also, it seems like you are promoting different affiliate Clickbank products for each posting. I can tell by looking at your links, which has a different URL for each posting. Not sure why you are doing that, but that's your call. From my checking, you have the links embedded into your content, which is fabulous. It is very clear that the link are going to somewhere else, but it is not clear to the reader where it is going unless they click it. What you can do is specifically put another paragraph into your content and state "For ways to..." or "Here is something I found that will help with the 4 steps I described above...click here". You are not providing the reader with what to do next. Tell your reader what is the next step and carry them thru your pipeline or "funnel". I hope this helps.
First of all congrats on getting sales, that should always be celebrated. I definately agree with Alan E, your content needs to be more appealing. People want informaion, however, they want to be entertained as well.
Is just adding content to my blog enough? I still need to get traffic to it. And from what Im reading article directories don't work as well anymore. I have been submitting in article directories linking back to my blog to get traffic. I get views on my articles but looking at my stats in clickbank I get very little clicks so to me submitting articles to article directories doesn't really work anymore.
Since you are adding content to your blog, you have already found a way to get traffic to your blog. Sounds like the problem isn't traffic. If you want your visitors to click the links on your blog, then you need to write your content in a way that will peak enough curiosity to click the links. Another way to increase sales is to capture your visitors contact info through a capture page, so that you can send a short series of follow up emails, that will upsell the clickbank products you want to sell.
You need to ask and answer the following questions as if you're a visitor to your blog: Do I know why this word or phrase is hyper-linked? Do I know what will happen if I click the link? Do I have a desire to click the link? Your reader needs to feel in control and be able to answer yes to all 3. Any surprises should be pleasant ones!
I don't have ads my blog address is in post #13 if anyone is interested. I know Im using blogger and I should be using wordpress. But I am working towards my income to be a little more consistant I know I am promoting various products. I'll just keep adding content. It seems to be working traffic wise..
