    Embed the two, using a service like ribbon.co you can place shareable product directly in to facebook,twitter, youtube etc feeds and people can purchase directly from their current social media platform, they never have to leave.

    I think at present Social media is more effective for Ecommerce web Development marketing, you can directly go to Face book, twitter & Google+ sites put your product to promotion and selling.

    We've been offering Facebook store integration for a while now. What we've learned is that not every product is suitable for this. Some perform better, some worse. It mostly depends on your own marketing efforts and where you target audience is. The best selling items on Facebook are usually games.

    the more exposures, the more chances you can sell. Social media can't be overlooked these days. we all never known unless we try this out:)

    report is interesting but it is very old report. Currently many store are working on facebook application that will allow you to buy from facebook.

    Social media feature like you can add your offer , recommendation button and many other ways. Current fact is highest referral is provide by facebook now days.
