Shipping charges and drop shipping

Hey. Does anyone any ideas for how to work out shipping charges on a website that does a lot of drop shipping?

As an example say you sell speciality wines and have 3 or 4 different drop shippers you're working with what is the best way to charge shipping?

It seems like experimeting with it is one way to go about it but it still needs a way to start off. I know some people like to do free shipping and charge the items higher but one company told me doing that may turn away some customers because people might compare prices between stores.

Any ideas how to get a model together for shipping prices on something like this?

    Thanks

Stick with one trusted cheaper shipping vendor is the best way to get customer's trust and can stay far from legal issues.

You can integrate a shipping module (if available) from the shipping vendor into your store. Once you do that, based on the source and destination zip codes, the vendor can show the shipping charges on runtime. If you are shipping from outside of your home country, you need to evaluate various vendors. Generally a shipping company from the base location is always cheaper. It depends on various factors though.
