I'm just getting my feet wet in the world of SEO and would really like to learn as much as possible. I've ordered a couple books off Amazon and read through the first thread on this forum by Dan (or Dave? I can't remember) as well as the SEO start guide by Google. Aside from that I've bookmarked and started to read the SEOmoz beginning guide to SEO. I was just curious how you all got started and what the best way to go about it is and/or anymore suggested reads. I've always found forums to be the best when it comes to learning so I'm hoping to learn a good deal while I lurk and pick at some brains over here too. I appreciate any advice or tips!

In SEO, practical knowledge is very important, you can see here, people/webmasters who have passed even 5 years, they don't have clear understanding on what to do and what not to do, so that they can make a business plan... if you gain practical knowledge, if you have good confidence this is all seo for you. I would say, whatever you have learned in discussion boards, try utilizing them by creating a blog on free blogging platform and test where you need to improve.
