New site in 1st Page

    Surprised !!! Yes I was also surprised to see when this 2 yrs. old website with "NO" on-page optimization and "ZERO" off-page works, is displaying at first page for competitive keywords in Google. How could such sites get better position. I mean I checked other sites which are about 12-15 yrs. old with good on-page score and built quality back-links, is creeping around that website.

    Does Google really have Algo which the often boast on ? If so how come such sites show in top pages?

    Any idea friends? Share....

    I doubt it that a site with NO on-page SEO whatsoever would rank for a highly competitive keyword.
    It's probably optimized at least to some extent for that keyword? Either directly or via some anchor text.
    Heyy, maybe your competitors have been all penguinized, that's why you're ranking? lol
    anyhow, you'd need to analyze fully a website to figure out why it could be ranking.. It could be social signals, bookmarks?
    Hard to tell without additional data.

    This could be temporary and may be showing on top positions for you only based on your search history and Geo location (via cookie settings).

    After the panda/penguine update, Anyone heard about 301 redirection to get back the website in SERP's??

    The algorithm was screwed up a little after the panda/penguin updates.

    Are you sure it is not a personalize search results? Or maybe it has some good backlinks that backlink-checkers haven't picked up yet.

    Some people did 301 it to their new site. It has some success but the penalty has passed on and killed the site again. Better build a new website, don't do 301. Besides, one month should give you a steady ranking on 1st page if you use high pr backlinks

    I think so.

    Nope J3thro. Also no off-page works done yet. I personally know the the website admin, and he has developed his website with my help but there's no SEO Touch. It's almost 3 Yrs. old domain
