    Hi,

Is there any new update about Google Page Rank? What is the reason for delaying PR update? or Google has just sacked the concept of Page Rank

    Regards,
    Roger

Some believe that Google ended it. However, perhaps they are waiting for the results to settle down after the Panda and Penguin updates. Personally, I'd like them to continue it, so we have a general idea how the websites and pages are doing.

Don't forget that PR Google has two types - that we see, and what Google considers when ranging. And so it updates the PR constantly as it is the main indicator of t it can't but watch it. And our PR is for us, it can be not updated also for years.

No, it's in deep comma, soon be dead. Google was about to withdraw the PR but thought of leaving it at is and decided to not to update/ support it any further. So GPR is just inactive

Google page rank is not dead Google continue updates it's page rank. Page rank is one of the most important factor to measure the web-page quality, health and current status of a website. Now Google is more focus on it's page rank with Panda & Penguin changes, which effect million of website.
With the help of these updates Google improve it's search results and better quality content to it's users. So Google is in the way to improving it's search result's so it take time to updates it's page rank. Hope this post helpful to you Roger........!!

I wouldn't focus on PR or Alexa as much as just being mutually beneficial links between the sites. Google says to nofollow the links. It would be great if website visitors would reliably use the links between the websites.

Search engine traffic is often the best. Google seems to be moving away from "linking" and more toward the website offering quality, original content or some other value to the visitor.

So, the following things are worth considering:
How are visitors getting to the site? Search engine, a social network, or an advertisement maybe?
How many pages are they visiting within the website?
How long are they staying on the website?
Has the visitor "voted" the site up? Let's say via Google Plus.
Is the same visitor returning to the site?

Once there is a positive trend, relating to the questions above plus other factors, then the website/page will rank higher and higher in the SERPs. I'm not saying backlinks aren't important. I am saying that backlinks have much less value than in the past.

Basically, anything that could likely be done by the webmaster to try to "game" the system has been downplayed, such as link building or using keyword rich domains, have very little value today.

Google expects webmasters to use the tools available to monitor and try to control the status of the website.

I can see why Google would no longer want to place publically available measurements on a website/page. Google has privatized most of the tools, including the keyword research tool. I can imagine that Google may actually move the Page Rank to be within Webmaster Tools, or simply to get rid of Page Rank entirely. After all, why show your competition how you're doing?

I actual really hope Google has bitten the bullet and retired the Google Page Rank scale. Because, what is the relevance of it any more? Just because one website or one page has a higher Google Page Rank does not mean it will rank higher in Google.

Very true. It does not measure keyword-value which is most important factor, searchengine-wise.

If you were on Google place - you would give to webmasters information on from what pages it is necessary to buy links to influence ranging of sites by highly competitive inquiries?

PR was an old concept and an intellectual property of Stanford Univ. and the lease now expired from Google. That could be one of the many reasons that Google is no more focusing on PR updates but on Panda or Penguin only.

Google always updates pagerank. But they don't update their google toolbar pagerank. That's why we cannot see the updates. But we can use different metrics, like Moz PA and DA. There's also Trust Flow from Majestic SEO. But what's really important is to scan their backlinks and evaluate it yourself. Of course, with the help of the above mentioned metrics.

Natural PR backlinks still count because they cannot be faked and their real PR is not likely to get changed.

Do what it takes, honestly and ethically, to get good links to your pages. The PR, for whatever it's worth, will take care of itself. And Alexa...who cares?

@brudawson thanks dude. Hence Penguin and Panda are one of the reason for the PR update delay?
