I have a website on Shared server and I was adviced to purchase dedicated IP address to improve search engine optimization for my website. I am using Attracta for about few months and would like to have advice. Would you please let me know if it helps to improve SEO using dedicated IP address in a shared server?

    Thank you in advance!

IMHO, the IP address (whether dedicated or on shared server) doesn't have co-relation in SEO. The problem occurs when you have another sites and you interlink all of them but they have been sharing on same ip address.

Using a dedicated IP for your domain will assure that it will not hit by any penelity as may be in the case of having a shard IP with some affecting site. Also IP is just an address of the website and has no significant effects on SEO of a site.

Dedicated IP addresses have no effect on SEO as IP addresses in no way indicate anything about the content and whether or not it is relevant for a search query. A site on a shared IP that moves to a dedicated IP, or vice versa, is no better or worse because of that IP address. So the IP address won't affect the ranking of pages.

IP addresses may be used, and probably is used, as an indicator for possible TOS violations (i.e. part of a content farm, content spammer, etc). But each site/page will still be judged on its own merits as shared IP addresses are very common and to ban or penalize an IP address because one site using it is black hat is obviously bad for business (and just not smart).

from a link building perspective using A-class IPs are much better then c-class or shared IPs . If you are promoting ad sense sites and having them all on the same dedicated IP that will not be good obviously . But only having one should not be a problem
