is it possible to make money from a general football (soccer) blog?

Hey guys I recently made a general soccer blog. Its doing ok, i currently have 1500 views in 2 and half weeks which im pretty proud of. Im just wondering if it a viable option to make money from a soccer blog. Tips and advice are greatly appreciated. You can make money with practically everything on the Internet. You managed to have 1500 views in two and a half weeks? That is impressive. I'm sure you have more skills. I never own soccer blog, but you can monetize it on many different ways. Try to Google for something, I'm pretty sure you'll find the best solution.

The best way to do this is to add adsense and don't make them a priority let there be other forms of monetization like
selling items related to football, maybe t-shirt, jersey, football boot and others.

You can also consider selling ads space.

I strongly implore you add some creative to it, grow your audience, post great content that rocks and people would really love to read. You can make this easy by following a number of few top football fan pages, you can share some of those things occasionally.

Also, make your own fan page attached to your site and grow your fan base.

Eventually, flip it, you never can tell, you might have a better idea some day to make real money off it then selling it.

As for the fan page, integrate it with your site along with other social media icons and profiles like Twitter, Google+.

Visitors from your site will follow you though at a very slow pace, you can build your fan page by engaging and making good post, pictures, news about soccer. If you have some budget, you have put in $50 monthly into promoting your fan page directly on Facebook.

All tips I share is mine. I usually can get lot of likes in two ways. I put a Facebook like button on my site and I use EmpireAvenue. I can get about 50-100 likes just from EmpireAvenue.

My blog also doesnt seem to be geting many comments. I want my blog to be like a community but none ever seems to comment. I always end my blog posts with a question but I never get any answers. How do i build up an audience?

 

The best informations you will get if you Google for it.

The problem can be wrong audience for example. Maybe people just come on site and leave after few seconds because they are not interested in what you have to say. You should check bounce rate and average visit duration on your Google Analytics account. If bounce rate is to high and average visit duration to small, it means you are probably targeting wrong audience.

There are other reasons why you don't get comments. Questions you ask and content you write maybe seem boring to lot of people. Design on your site maybe isn't attractive or comment system doesn't look interesting to people. If you don't have comment system with a ''Website field'' maybe you should add it. People will comment at least for backlinks.
