What social networks do you get the most traffic from?

Hi friends, I'm trying to spread the word about some of my posts through social networks, but I don't know which ones are the best for sharing content.

 

Facebook Twitter+ are the ones i use to share my content on.
I found the Twitter Search function quite helpful to find relevant questions and tweets to reply to with my links.

 

I'd go with twitter because it reaches a wider captive audience.. i mean they show tweets on the news daily nowadays can you say the same about facebook statuses?

 

It is a complete guess. It all depends upon what you are trying to market. Twitter is less restrictive because people will do searches and they can find your Tweets more easily. Facebook can be locked down and pages not so visible and not found so easily. You will need to create fan pages if you do and that is a lot more work too.

 

i use reddit and pinterest for get traffic to my web page.

 

To spread out your word, it require different strategy in different social media platform. So, it totally depend upon your marketing goal and achievement. I prefer Facebook and Twitter to be the topmost high rating social media platform for any viral communication. Other than that Pinterest, YouTube, Googleplus and LinkedIn play a vital role.
Other than a simple post, you can boost up in Facebook, increase retweet with proper hashtag and use images to increase visibility.

I use Facebook for a niche app I created, but I am now focusing more on Pinterest to get traffic.

 

Facebook for me. I have a lot of websites that all have pages attached to them. Facebook is just used by so many people, I've never really needed anything else. However, when Pinterest was first becoming popular, I did get a lot of traffic from there.

 

I get more traffic from Facebook than any other social media site.

 

I tried both twitter and facebook but for me Facebook works like a charm.

I share my post in various group and pages and I get very good traffic. I also tried FBAds for my niche site and get huge traffic

But I do not get very good response from twitter.

I fully agreed with @Helge Sverre , Twitter Search function and hashtag is very good to find related tweet

 

Agreed with this one. By its nature, if you can create an article that gets viral traction it will work. I find it much more useful because you don't get the massive information overload you get in Twitter. Easier to find articles of interest and those that are liked by friends travels much more quickly. Good point.

 

I try using just about everything, I have not tried twitter however I should try that out.

This may be a silly question but may help the op as well, but what is the best way to find relevant and active facebook groups/pages. For example my area of interest would be tech/gaming. I've tried manually searching for places to share my posts but it takes forever... is there a better way to do this?

i use pinterest to get traffic to my photos/images... if you make good use of some tools online i am sure you will get some good traffic

I got decent traffic from Facebook group. I must suggest you that don't post a long article on FB because the user activity on Fb is very fast so make your post small and catchy

I was thinking more like a facebook group/page directory. Maybe I'm missing something obvious though.
