I am familiar with Mail Chimp and Constant Contact. Can someone suggest a email marketing service that is not as strict as these two?

Have you tried Aweber? AWeber's email marketing tools like professional email signup forms & autoresponder services make it easy for you to build your email list and stay in touch with prospects. Collecting, managing, and segmenting your subscribers is a snap with AWeber. It's what I use and never had problems with it. I just love it!

I use mailchimp for years! What are your problems with them ? Never had a single problem with them and my list is not even an opt-in list (i keep the emails of everyone who is ordering from my website) and they never gave me an issue with something :)

Both Aweber and GetResponse are more attuned to the needs of Affiliate marketers than Mailchimp. Don't have any experience with Constant Contact.

You can't go wrong with either Aweber or GetResponse...

My problem is I had a site that got aquired by another site. I kept the rights to the email list. Due to non disclosure agreements by myself and the attorney and other party I can not disclose much until 36 months after the acquisition. My list is around 100,000 emails. Some email companies like constant contact are pretty strict on how you got your list, etc. My list is my list and due to legal requirements I cant divulge much to constant contact about this list.

So how or who can I go with that will not critique how I got my list?

I have never used getresponse. Are you familiar with Aweber? How does it compare to Aweber?

Yup i have used aweber before. I find aweber a little more expensive as compared to getresponse. So for newbies, getresponse is easier to manage. For aweber, it is more for people that already know what they are doing.

I see. Thanks Howard for your feedback. I'm glad to know a thing or two about getresponse. I've always been using Aweber and never had the need to find another email marketing autoresponder.

Personally, I use AWeber. So far, I'm very happy with their services. It's simple to set up a squeeze page, autoresponder, broadcast, etc.

I've always used Aweber and it serves me well.
The support line is good also.
I'm not keen on paying for subscribers who don't open or read mails though.
Apart from Mail Chimp the only other free alternative I know of is List Wire.
