My Favorite WordPress Plugins

I thought i should share some of my favorite wordpress plugins with you guys, I use these on pretty much all of my websites and blogs.

• Affiliate Link Cloaking - Cloaking your affiliate links and tracking the hits and unique visitors of each link.
• All In One Schema.org Rich Snippets - The All in One Rich Snippets gives the power to the blog author to control the rich snippets to be shown in the search results by the search engines.
  
• All in One SEO Pack - In my opinion the best SEO plugin for wordpress, Yes I've tried Yoast and didn't like it very much.
• Dashboard Notepad - Because sometimes you just need to write something down so you remember it...
• Really Simple Popup - This will make it so that every image in a post becomes clickable and it pops up in a lightbox, very handy if you have a theme that doesn't support this by default
• AuthorSure - Adds a nice looking author box at the end of every post you make, here is a screenshot, it also adds google authorship into your website.
• Google sitemap plugin - generates XML sitemaps, and it does it well, without a lot of settings and fiddling
• NK Google Analytics - simply adds Google analytics to your site, no bullshit.
• Author hReview - Adds a nice review style box into your post(looks like this), although to get the full functionality you will have to pay, it will work fine with the lite version.
• Auto Excerpt everywhere - when your theme doesn't have an excerpt option, I use this plugin instead.

I have found Pretty Link to be a lot better at hiding links.
Plus it uses my domain name.

Any and all other so called affiliate link hiding plugins for wordpress were, in a word, ugly as sin solution.

 

What does pretty link do different/better than "affiliate link cloaking"?

 

Easier to use I have found.
Plus it changes urls to something like: iowadawg dot com/xhr7
Keeps tracks of the hits, both uniques and return hits.

 

Does All in one SEO have any real effect???

All in One SEO Pack, I have also used. But later I installed SEO Plugin Yoast..

 

Thanks for share, currently i am using Akismet, Limit Login Attempts, WP-Polls, WordPress SEO by Yoast, Jetpack by WordPress but i am confused about Facebook Commenting plugins. which plugins you recommended.

That one had good ratings, I would probably go with that one.

 

Yes its working. Thank you. but some days ago i had use another Plugin and that take place at the regular comments area and the facebooks comments are counted as a regular comment. But i can't memories the name of the Plugin. Do you heard about this kind of plugin ? Thanks again

 

Great plugins, I think every blogger should be aware of these. I used to use all in one seo, but I use a genesis theme now that has built in SEO options, it works just fine. I have interest in the affiliate link cloaker though i think I'm gonna go ahead and check that out.

 

Yeah the one i linked is pretty nice as it gives you an overview of clicks by month and today(unique and not).
