    I Am Finding creating articles and having a keyword density of 1% and then spinning them and sumbiting them to amr or uaw to be quite effective in ranking any websites, also tiered link building is also something you might want to consider.

    Just focus Content right now, your website content or keyword target just not only for search engine ranking, that should be for visitors. And rest think follow google guildelines for SEO.

    I would suggest paying a service. I'm not saying this because I run a service but because I have wasted tons of time and effort and money tryin to do this when I could have paid a service to do it. There are so many more methods that you can screw up and make it so your website is DEINDEXED in google too.

    After last Update of Google I have experienced that Unique Content is very important and must match all OnPage as well as OffPage activities of Google Algorithms. Without it you can be Penalized.
    For me Social Media Marketing, Web 2.0 Profile and Forum posting are the best way to get good rank in Google.

    Just need to take care of Google's guidelines. Try to avoid "Exact Match" anchor text.
    You should also try guest blogging. Make some high quality links (avoid spammy links).
    Build your complete Google+ profile. And increase circles. Add your website link in profile.
    Also add Google Authorship.

    You can't tell, it depends. But what worked for me is building a 15 page niche website on Wordpress for a non competitive niche. The keywork was getting above 3k searches. It showed on page one in less than 20 days.
    The site was built on Wordpress.
    Installed "Platinum SEO Pack"
    Started posting
    Put several Youtube videos
    Had some unique articles written
    Started to build backlinks, used Magic Submitter successfully.
    Stayed consistent!
