My friends tried earlier versions of Norton and it sucked big time. Do you think it changed much since then?

Avast seems like the best for me. Does the job really well, and has a nice clean interface, and great protection all round.

I've tried McAfee, Microsof Essentials, Malwarebytes and Avast. If I were to pick one, I will highly recommend Avast. It's free, effective and fast.

I would personally vote for AVG anti-virus, due to the ease of use and more importantly, it is FREE!

It's up to you actually. What we say can't change what you think. Try Avast, Kaspersky, AVG, McAfee or whatever you want. I'm currently using Avast and I'm happy with it. Good luck!
