Internal Links: Can To Many, Be Bad?

    I used a website done a free SEO report on my website, one of the things it said is the following..

    Links check
    Internal links: 117 (To much)
    External links: 7

    I knew that having to many External Links on my webpage(s) is not good, but I didn't know having to many Internal Links was also bad. If anything, I though it would be better to have a good few Internal Links as it means good navigations, etc.. and they get crawled easier, etc..

    Having internal links is a Good part because it gives a great navigation to your visitors. Do not worry about it, just maintain a proper dofollow-nofollow ratio.

    Yes if your website have good quality internal links then this is not bad for your website because you can get more traffic and high ranking position on search engine with the help of quality internal links.

    He is talking about internal links not backlinks to your site.

    It was previously suggested that you should not have more than 100 links on a page but that is no longer the case.

    Hi,
    In my point of view internal links should be less or equal to 100 in static page. If it is more than 100 then you can put a "nofollow" tag with less important links.

    What I am meaning, and also the SEO Report is meaning is the following..

    Internal links: Link on my website to other pages on my website.
    External links: Links on my website to other websites.

    It is saying that I have too many Internal Links (which I didn't think could happen) :p

    Google doesn't give a limit as far as I'm aware but personally I wouldn't be putting 100 on a static page just in case you put too many to the same page or seem like you are over using the interlinking process.

    Internal links:

    - help the search engines crawl your site
    - help visitors find other pages if your site
    - increase time spent on site

    They are a must :)

    If you are using internal linking then make sure that you are doing it naturally, it helps.
