In just a few words:

On-Page (check Title and Description), if you have time, use DIFFERENT info in every page! Alt tag for images and Title for links. H1 for your main keyword

Off-Page -> Guest blogging is the best according to me to RELATED blogs, also Social Bookmarking sites (submit some of your pages -> WITH DIFFERENT title and description!) ... Forum and Article marketing if you have time!

 

If your website is new and you are going to optimize your website on top position of Google and other Search Engine then firstly make your website seo friendly and firstly do On-page optimization such as meta tags (title,description and alt tag) and solve canonical issue if your website has canonical problem as well add xml-sitemap in your website etc. These are some on-page factors and after that start off-page optimization on your site by creating good quality backlinks with the help of Directory submission,social bookmark submission,Article Submission,Link wheel,Press releases submission,forum profile links and blog commenting etc.
