For your information article submission direct to money site is counted as spam under google's eyes I have recently received one of my reconsideration request rejected given sample link of ezine article too

I don't see any harm in article directories. Google says submit your site into quality article directories. Just that article should be of quality one with varying anchor text.

Infact,check out Seo Packages of various companies all of them are offering article submission.

As far as quality article directory apart from Ezine is

Sooperarticles.com and goarticles.com

 

Care to show us where they say that? or are you just making this up?
