Here I recommand a free hosting company:
    heliohost.org
which offers 500MB space, unlimited trafic, ftp accounts, add-domians......etc
it has 2 severs on their own, and only accept 200 new users per day. and you need to register their forum first. after registration, you need to login Cpanel min 1 time/month
what makes helishost so special is------it provides free hosting service only, no paid hosting at all.
unlike other free hosting company, which provide limited free service, but will intend you to upgrade into their paid hosting service.

I have not seen them actually allow it. I have a site I would love to see how long it takes them to say I am using too many of the resources...haha

hey, there is no absoluetly really unlimited traffic on world, even to the paid hosting company, over sold is everywhere.
since it's 'free' hosting, no need to be picky

Free hosting are just useless. They suspend the account at any time without reason. And a lot of security/support problem. The same is going with cheap web hosting. Some of the webhosting company disable your website after reach 1gb data. "Unlimited Hosting", Just make fools.

Free hosting are actually offer for PERSONAL USE only,
and i don't think a site which is for personal use can cross the resource limits and bandwidth,
unfortunately, there are many people who can afford a good hosting but still they go with free hosting for their e-commerce or high traffic expecting sites. Later? they are banned or disabled
free hosting can not be consider for a long terms but for a short start it can be good.
(oh not never depend on free hosting for a professional websites)

Unlimited means no limits, which is IMPOSSIBLE. some companies that do unlimited, might have a 10mb or 100mb unmetered connection themselves. The limit therefore becomes the maximum of traffic that can flow throw the connection, which if the server has just a handful of really popular sites, each site will have to compete for bandwidth.

Lets walk away form free hosts for a second, and look at hostgator -> again, before you can even come close to using unlimited, you would be kicked out for breaching TOS. Even paid hosts, cannot legitimately offer unlimited.

You can get paid hosting very cheap these days, I don't see a point of getting free one which always has some limitations comparing to paid ones.

There's no such thing as unlimited when it comes to hosting. Nothing can be offered at unlimited numbers. If you cross their lines you get marked and can face suspension.

Free hosting should not be used for anything other then testing purposes or personal sites that don't matter.

You cannot rely on free hosting if you're hosting a business website, for personal it's fine. Better to make sure data backups are taken without fail.

Free hosting may seem like a good option at first. But, most users find that the advertising, downtime and other drawbacks are often not even worth the initial time and effort it takes to get started. If you are serious about driving traffic to your site and starting the hard work of getting well ranked on search engines then find a paid host. Many reliable hosting companies offer well priced packages to get you started and the tools you need really succeed.
