We have seen a lot of articles about SEO of directories, news blogs, personal blogs media sites and so forth. I haven't seen any article about download portal SEO methods. Any ideas? or Articles you have written?
Is your site a download page for one single product like this or is it a software directory like this?
And what's the problem& As far as I understand you're not going to do SEO - you just want to be high in SERPs for softwares' brand names, right? Then it's not so hard, I guess: put software names into title, place them a couple of times somewhere on your page (don't forget H1 tags), add rich snippets mark-up (for higher CTR and better visitors behaviour), buy ads to bring a lot of visitors, contact software vendors explaning you've got lots of traffic and ask them to right unique descriptions for your site and... make a contract with Google to push your site like they do this with Cnet, softonic, bothersoft and others ))
Make a proper On-Site SEO then Off Site Seo. On-site. Optimize your pages including keywords that you want to rank for. Off-Site. Do some backlinks to those pages with keywords in link anchor text. Diversify your backlinks, to look more natural.
