I hope that this will motivate those who have trouble with the monetization part. You do NOT need a ton of traffic to make decent money online I mean, a measly 10 clicks. That's a whopping 20% conversion rate. I know, it's not a mountain of cash but it's a steady $100-$200 per month for almost no work. Then you rinse and repeat. Transparency: (something you don't see often online) I'll admit that it's not as easy as it seems to duplicate. You need to practice keyword research to the point where you no longer "land" on a gem, but go and actually find them. SE cockpit *really* helps for this. I used to use Market Samurai but I got fed up of how sluggish it was and how long it took to analyze competition. Keyword research is where the money's at. Too many people go: AdWords, browse around, find a low comp. keyword, get excited and think: "Great! Let's go!". PM me if you still need help on this.
Yeap, but it's to show another side of SEO. Lots of people think they need to go after keywords that have lots of volume. This keyword has barely 30 exact match queries per month, in the world. Are your gears slowly starting to turn now? Couldn't do it without SE Cockpit though.
Yes, keyword is very important, and the keyword should have business value and should rank in Google to get the benefit I would say.
Ok if this is an affiliate marketing, then we have to place the banners on our blog or website. Once the banners are placed on our website then we need visitors who come to our website and make a sale of the product for which we are marketing. I hope in order to gain visitors, you have to do SEO for your blog. Without SEO there are no visitors to your website and no sales generated from your affiliate link. The least you can do without SEO is sharing your affiliate link over social networking sites, and that too won't last for long. Hardly for 1 or 2 months... Pls: If I am wrong do let me know so that I can correct my mistakes.
No ksbharath86 you are absolutely correct. However the point I am trying to make is: You don't need huge volume in order to make sales. The key is choosing high commerciability keywords that are very low competition. Then you know your SEO will be super easy and you will make $$$ when you are on the first page. I never tried social media much. I know some people are making a killing with it, but it's just not my thing The only thing I hate about SEO is you have to wait a few weeks, but hey, it's all worth it. I tried skipping this and starting PPC / PPV but I fell face first: Sure it's instant, but you lose a lot of money on testing at first, and money was an issue back then. I might do that again later, who knows
