I was just wondering if anyone on DP builds items from scratch? When I say items I am referring to anything physical (NOT digital) like computers, engines or something really interesting I am not thinking about that you can list below. List a example and possibly a picture:
When I was in my late teens (or maybe early twenties) I built a functioning rubik's cube. Even up until today I don't fully understand how I was able to do that, because I built it totally out of wood (except the 6 metal screws that held the center pieces on its six sides). I don't have it anymore, but just recently I thought I may try to do this again. If I do, I will let you know. It looked kind of similar to this (this is not mine though):
I used to run my own building business and built many houses & extensions on existing houses, I'll see if i can find some pic's later.
Mhh... not from scratch, but I built a tablet holder out of an ikea lamp and wood. Looks similar to this
I like to design things and assemble them from components - hydroponic systems, RC stuff, beehives, computers (new and old), etc... which I guess is the modern definition of *building*.
