Is there a browser tool or a plugin that could take the html code of a color you want?

Right now if I want to see the code of a certain color I have to copy and paste a screenshot with a software like Photoshop and then use the tools there to select the color and see what its html code (for example #4a3a4b).

The other way is to go into the css and the element and its color which could be very tedious.

So is there some browser tool or plugin that could do that for you without having to use an external software?

There is a google chrome extension called Colorpicker (maybe there is the same for mozilla Firefox) it's easy to use, you launch the extension, select the color from the screen, and you get the color code... You can also try the Colour Tweaker Extension...

I use http://colorcop.net/ which allows you to grab the color code from anything that is on your monitor. and, It's free. It also is small and has a "stay on top" feature that is nice in preventing it from getting hidden by other programs.

Majority of developers use color cop tool for knowing the hexadecimal value of color but if you want to inspect the code of color then use firebird add-on for Mozila Firefox.

I used to use Firebug long ago. I am not sure whether that is what you are looking for.
