Duplicate Conetn Issue - Pls Help me to solve this issue

    Hi Everybody,

    I have product based website. All product have same rules and regulation.
    So mostly same content posted in all the pages only few lines are unique . In seomoz it is showing as duplicate content. How to i solve this issue.

    Duplicate content is a typical onpage optimization issue for commercial sites, and it can be solved by canonizing a preferred page and implementing a rel="canonical" tag in the HTML header.
    This attribute will tell search engines that this page is the preferred version a set of pages with similar content.

    UPD: for pages with different content just rewrite the content if necessary.
    At first glance I got that you there is duplication issue for standard product pages.

    Yes I am agreed with you.. You can use canonical tag if you want to protect your website from google penalties..

    canonical tag is used to solve the duplicate content issue for the same url not a different one.
    For eg: www.example.com and httP://example.com/
    both of them redirect to the same url and this is considered as duplicate content. You can avoid this by using a canonical tag.

    You will have to work on your content even more to make it totally unique. I think that's the only way to fix this.

    Also, you can write product description this way you have option to provide some unique content to your website.
