I actually purchased an account upgrade on a forum. Well done Digitalpoint, I've no idea how you made me do it :p

Just out of curiosity, what premium member benefit were you mostly after?

I think it was probably the free marketplace items :) (I wanted to take a look at that A.R.F.I addon source :p)

As well as the ability to see where people are actually from...

Also, I wouldn't mind seeing my tweets up there ;)

The where people are actually from is the most interesting bit for me (but not enough to make me get a subscription - yet). For now, I rely upon my gut instinct when someone lies about their location, but probably don't always get it right.

Actually, I just put together a script that uses geocoding and like on DP it came up with me as being in the EU (I'm using MaxMind's legacy database). Although last night I also showed as US (on DP). (This just happens at work due to the stupid proxies they load balance everyone across.) I'm definitely in the UK, though.

Liam, I look forward to seeing your tweets in the bar. :p

I have a fiverr account and although I am in the US, it used to show I was in one of the US territories (U.S. Virgin Islands, I think). I wasn't using it, so it didn't bother me much. Just recently I logged in just for fun and it was showing my US location. I am wondering if they're using a similar database.

By the way, how effective is that twitter bar? It would not be a bad idea to get a subscription for a month just to test it.
