My main site is built with yii framework and is a script I lightly modified. Now I'm think of adding a forum using phpbb and haven't really found a simple way to connect the two systems. So currently people sign in to my main site to purchase goods or sign up for events, but I'm wondering if it'd be fine to have a forum with separate login username and password. Either that or does anyone else think they could integrate my yii site to automatically add username and emails and passwords at sign up into my phpbb database. There is a kit and that exists to do so in yii, but its beyond what I understand and I'm having tons of trouble learning.
