    Hello friends,
I have a forum and I observed this in who is online page. Most of the time, when a user landing on a page, googlebot also would land on it within seconds.

Anybody see the reason behind this?

Yes, it happens, with my forum Google bot remains every second..

Because they crawl fresh content which was posted by your forum members.. thats why forum content is indexed faster than others!

I agree with your point. How ever my observation is for every user hit on a thread, a googlebot hit followed. User is just landing on a thread, googlebot hits even though there are no new threads or posts.

It happens mainly if the user is registered or came to ur forum by searching in google, its a good thng that pages and posts are indexed constantly, means google thinks ur site is constantly being updated with fresh content. Cheers !

It can happen because of a number of reasons. If the user has the Google toolbar installed to stop popups then Google is watching what they do. If they go somewhere Google hasn't been (like a new content page upon page reloading in a forum after posting) then Googlebot is informed that it should index this new content. Also, just being signed into Chrome with your Google account with now trigger this behavior as well. And as somebody already stated, certain sites will be indexed because of their socialness quicker than others.
