If it's deindexed there is no reason why you can't use the articles again.

Since you have deindexed the original or the old content, Google thinks the content is unique and doesn't think that it is duplicated. But if pages on the both the sites with same content are in its index its a duplicate.

Short answer: Don't add the content from penalized content to your new one. It will give a footprint for Google.

"i recently deindexed from ‎Google" ....how on world did you do that? :)
i suggest you modify them because you can be hit again by a Penguin, Panda or whatever animal Google will release now!

    Few points to notice -

1- Deindex does not mean your site does not exist anymore or Google is not coming to your site again in the lifetime of your site
2- Exact same copies at multiple places is considered duplicate and it has no relation with index/de-index. There are other search engines also.
3- If you have already been dropped out then you possibly know the reason. And most probably it would be duplicate content or some mistakes. Why are you trying to repeat them?

You should also go through the article - How to avoid blog/site penalization from Google just to be on safer side next time.

Google is getting smarter every day.
Don't just use the same posts, modify them so you have a new article.

Exactly, the copied content will be considered so.
It's better to rewrite the articles and then use site audit software to check uniqueness and seo value of the rewritten content.

nope, you're fine to use it. you know what they say - 'If it's not on Google, it doesn't exist'. So, it's just like your articles are brand new for Google.

Warning: Don't use the same articles again ever on any site. Instead, write fresh and original articles. It will really help in long run.
