Yes, I think so, the viral thing do exist. But if it depends on your luck and you can't make the thing repeatedly happen, it would be just an accident. So master the skill still take time.

 

I had my first pay from a PTC site. It took me over a year to earn $10. I was so frustrated guy then

I have not made any money yet. I am still learning the rules of this game. It takes time to learn the skills required to make a substantial cash online. Also, the determination that each individual has is very important to succeed in any business.

But that's why i also go for viral membership type of traffic that people i trust recommend. Word of mouth (viral) goes faster and further then anything else.

Why not? For me, that's how i met my mentor. When i meet people that say that, i try to understand what they are doing and learn from them, because only with constant learning and improving myself, can i stay ahead of the competition.

The right word is invested, not wasted

 

I have a friend who is helping me get up and running. His advice to me is that the trick is to take some time to get ingrained into the culture and communities that you will be working with. As he put it, in order to succeed, give, give, give, take just a little, then give, give, give. If I don't learn to be a contributor first and foremost then I won't be considered a valuable asset to the overall community. He did not say, however how much time that will take to accomplish. I am assuming much of that is up to me and how useful I can make myself.

I made a few sales at first, but I've started to earn more after years of hard work. You can make a sale from the first day, but creating solid income streams may take months or years depending on how much time you invest.

 

A year and a half.. But I start with a none of knowledge, so it took some time for reading and learning..

 

I took me about a year to make any significant money online.

It's a long learning process and you have to persevere.
