    I think it's a decent idea, but I am always hesitant to download add-ons and usually don't, even if they promise to make my searches more safe. I wonder how many people think the same way. Did you try them out yet?

    I didn't downloaded their add-on. Just signed for an account.
    I have checked many sites reputations. I can say I don't trust them.

    The Idea is good however dispite best efforts the results can be biased and a controlled by a few so it cannot be trusted

    My directory according to them has child safety as very poor. Incredible just like porn site.
    I have checked for "mywot review" on google I found interesting reviews.

    MyWot is just a simple scheme to get webmasters to pay them money for good review, similar to yelp.

    WOT has many problems

    1) there is almost no administration whatsoever. Almost every day I see malicious websites that have an obvious fake rank, but nobody cares.

    2) Only the word of "veteran" users count - If you are not one of them, you have nothing to say.

    3) 1 "veteran" user can obliterate a websites WOT rank

    4) Threads on their forum with "this site is spam - vote it down" (and they work)

    The idea is good, but unfortunately myWot has some serious issues.

    Some users has what is being called massive tools ( he can rank thousand of sites with one click, but that is not the worst part ) the worst part that the users who have access to these tools their opinion weight more than the rest of the site members. So, if they ranked a site by this massive tool ( I guess based on keywords. e.g. all sites with keyword money on it as bad )

    You will need more than luck to show it is decent website. The reviews based on 3 or 4 factors if you list your website asking for help to correct the error.

    They also do rank sites based on ethical issue or others which is really bad to show those as harmful. e.g. site sells youtube views ( it would be marked as red ) but is it a safe website ?! well you will never know.

    All I can say it can't be used to measure the safety of a website, you would have better luck with mcafee advisor

    Mywot is not at all trustworthy.Their rating are just useless and the reasons which they give will make you laugh.Most of the gold and platinum members takes money to post bad ratings and comments.
    There are tons of bad reviews about mywot on the internet.Sooner or later the site will be taken down.
