Hello I am selling some hardware in US and in Canada. I am selling products in both physical store and online. My consultant suggested to put two websites one in .com and other in .ca but i am worried of duplicate content because i am selling the same product in both.

Is there any option in webmaster to target separately or tell search engine that both are my websites and not to consider as duplicate.

    Thanks

There's not much reason to have 2 separate domains. Where is your store?
I would say just focus on building up the domain (.com or .ca) where your physical store is.
Then you can simply mention that you ship throughout all of North America (which Canada is included in)

The problem with Redirect domains is that the new Google algorithm updates make it so those domains are getting slapped HARD. They are NOT showing up in SERPS (Search Engine Results Pages) and are basically being treated like they are garbage.

Focusing your efforts on ONE site and building it to be the best it can be, while still having the word of your shipping all across the continent will serve you MUCH better in the end. The .ca domain isn't as important as the .com. All across the world people are buying, using and surfing for .com domains.

yes, if your site and same content then, you get email from Google for duplicate content. Try to some unique content for sites..
