All my sites are dropping in Alexa 'daily reach' graphs since the beginning of this year but, when I check it, all sites that I use to visit seems to be dropping too, all of them, even big sites like digitalpoint.com (http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/digitalpoint.com) or wikipedia (http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/wikipedia.org). Is this a global internet users drop, Alexa fail or what? If Alexa is a rank and some sites are dropping there should be other ones going up, where are them?
I don't pay much attention to Alexa... I have a website with 100,000 and no sales in the last week and 4,000,000+, but good additional income... So, better try to work on your SEO and forget about Alexa (just an advice!)
Thanks for your answers, I really forgot about Alexa, patco, it's a matter of natural curiosity in order to learn more. Is this Alexa drop a reflection of visits drop for lots of top sites?

Search Engine algorithms are changing constantly these days. Things like the Panda and Penguin updates are hitting some Webmasters really hard. However, your Alexa ranking for your site, won't necessarily determine whether or not your site is getting good traffic, which ultimately results in sales. Don't stress over it, but if you are concerned enough, there's things you can do to improve your Alexa ranking. Most of it has to do with fresh unique and relevant content.
It's weird, I've got a website that gets less than 50 visitors a week and yet it's below 2,000,000. I don't know why that is, but I'm glad because I'm trying to get access to a service that requires an Alexa rank of less than 1,000,000.
