Weird traffic drop

Discussion in 'Google' started by R3Z0N, Jun 18, 2013.

So I've been working on a news site for about two months now and I just faced a weird drop in traffic a few days ago.

Any ideas what could have caused this? I doubt it's Panda or another update because there have been little to no reports of traffic drops faced by other webmasters.

I also got a notification in webmaster tools about Big traffic change for top URL and that search results have been decreased dramatically.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I had traffic changes on all my websites from that day as well, must be an update.

Check your site is it still in index of Google or not?

My site is still being indexed and all my posts are still there but they've greatly lost their ranking.

sometimes when you get organic traffic spikes, your site will drop soon but without a link to check we can't tell you more.

You are losing your rankings most likely due to the recent Panda updates, keep building quality backlinks and content and ping your site every day and you will recover your ranking positions.

It's just three months for the site and my content is great and so are my backlinks. Anyhow, how can I fix this and get my ranking back?

too many factors to consider to give you a reply. without any additional data is almost impossible to help you. we don't know your site history, what you did (and how), etc... give us more info and will try to help.

It was due to the Panda update I think so. I did read in one of the updates regarding it.
