    y u no do it?

    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

Is this possible?

    Hi there.

I own a successful website doing very well in certain areas on most of the major search engines.

    My question is as follows:

Some of the products are out of stock whilst waiting on supplies (so it could take a couple of months) so I want to disable the webpage for general viewing but would still like the page to get crawled by the major bots.

Is there any way of doing this?

Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question I do not have any expertise in this field.

keep the pages live... but put information there that the product is not available now, or other reasons of NA..

This way, in future if you have products again, you would get benefit of this, or provide any alternative product for that product.

    Hi there,

Many thanks for the reply, that is what I am already doing.

It is just that quite a few items are out of stock and I am worried that some visitors might be getting frustrated seeing so many pages showing items out of stock.

all you can do is to make the page Not to be linkable from inner the website, but the page must be indexed and people can enter that page from google, but they will not be able to find that page while surfing your website

This is probably your best option. Just remember to do a full backup incase you mess up your pages and link structure by mistake.
