    Hey all,

Today when I accessed my PHPLD account I have seen the new version phpld 3.1.0 available for download. So I downloaded immediatelly, and will apply it on my new business directory, MerchantNova.

Oh and here are the changes:

Thought that you'll find it useful in case you didn't yet observe :)

    I see it too!

I hope themes are compatible. I'll do some testing tomorrow when I have some time for it, I downloaded it already though.

    Thanks for the heads up!

I think the "cat is out of the bag". :)
I have tried to be a little slower about announcing this time so that the release is distributed more slowly.
#1 I didn't want the support forums to go crazy all at once
#2 I wanted there to be an opportunity to address issues if they were discovered early. We found 2 the first day, and quickly patched. They were both minor, but it was good it didn't affect many people.

We went thru 3 betas before final release, and many issues that affected people in the past are now solved. Thanks to Boby, Anon, Optimit, Neticus, proprod, neurosis4u, Dawzz, tomsa, VSDan, shabu, and the many others that helped make phpLD a great resource for all! :)

    k here's a little live template preview :
www.merchantnova.com. I have just installed the dir. The template was coded for me in phlpld 3.06. Seems like the same templates will work on the new version too!

    only the admin has changed

and all (assumption) bugs have been "Nearly Fixed".

other than that, nothing mind blowing.

Not all of the designs are available for this version but they aren`t hard to improve.

Well, from an art standpoint, maybe it is not as nice as it could be, but what is really exciting is it is quite easy now to modify admin virtually any way you like because many of the javascript functions are removed and it is pretty close to strict html and css, so this clears the way for future improvements or even "admin templates". :)

Also, from a usability and browser compatability standpoint the new admin is MUCH better! :)

whether its an art or not, its something which is of least worry to any dir owner.

no one is really gonna be bothered by this "new" ability to skin it or whether its strict html/css.

maybe for the kids it will amuse them :)

What I'm talking about is whether or not they are compatible with the new version of phpLD.

Will my current 3.0.6 theme work for 3.1.0?

Probably they will be compatible, in any case I don't think you need to do much work in there to make it compatible if it is not yet. :)
