Here is a link to my site: http://www.debtfreescotland.org.uk We give free debt advice to people with money troubles and for 5 months I've been working on my SEO. I woke up a few days ago and my ranking had went up and as You can imagine I was extatic! Today I am looking and some oare dropping as low as 100! Google doesn't seem to be seeing my page title properly as you will see if you google "Free Debt Advice Scotland" vs what the actual home page title is... I am so shocked and feel my hard work is slipping away! I have made some home page changes yesterday, for example: Changed non-www. to redirect to www. Changed .index.php page to redirect to / These changes were made in the .htaccess page If You can offer any suggestions to help I would be eternally grateful!
It's may be because of SEO i(bad backlinks)or because of changes made by you, in case of its because of changes than rankings can be achieved again after your website get crawled. Wait for 24 hours.
Google rolled out some more changes this morning that impacted sites in the more Spammy type niches, which included payday loans, debt, ppi type stuff. It is possible that has impacted your site. Had a look at some of your inbound links and some don't seem very high quality. It could be due to changes, in which case it should pick back up again, but it is a very competitive niche too. Feel free to give me a shout or send me a PM if you need any help or advice.
Your backlink profile seems to be the issue there.. you seem to have dropped about 40% of your linking root domains over the past month too.
Your backlinks are very weak, some look to be de-indexed... Try using Ahrefs to look at this link profile: "www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/scotland/" and other main competitors BLP's .. Then try and aquire some of the juiciest links that they have, you will gain good link equity this way and improve your own BLP.. Hope this helps
Wait for some time, after Google indexing your site, the ranking of your sites can be back. Try to make good quality backlinks for your site.
There are several possibility for a sudden change in ranking. Either your back-links are weak or penguin 2.0 update. Change you made in your sites will also affect in ranking, but in case of it you will get rank when it will crawl in search engine.
You website has no avenue for content development which is more like a static site. As Per Google Panda update it is recommended that your site has "fresh" and unique content at least with a week interval (I would suggest adding a blog or news updated). And also promote your sites through social media mainly Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ (you can add Linkedin if you like).
Blogs are great for keeping content fresh and I find that often a new blog post will rank well quickly and is also great for internal link building. A post a week can make a big difference to any site
