http://www.businessinsider.com/ebay-the-fbi-shawn-hogan-and-brian-dunning-2013-4 Shawn Hogan, the CEO of a successful online marketing company called Digital Point Solutions. eBay pays about $70 million annually to its 26,000 affiliate marketers, according to court papers. The average payment is around $2,700 a year. Remove Hogan and Dunning from the equation — Hogan alone was 15% of eBay's total payout — and the average payment drops even lower. there is not much money in affiliate marketing
Very interesting article, however if their statement is true then Ebay has a part to play too, because they kept encouraging them to send more traffic. Hogan said he contacted Ebay in 2006 to not be apart of their affiliate program any longer. How true is that? Only God knows....
while i do see that their action are immoral, i don't really see how they are illegal. people used this site, they put eBay cookies in their computers, people paid the same amount everyone got a piece of the pie... but i guess you need to know the limits.
I mean that this information provided some tips that can be helpful to me when it comes to affiliate business.
FTA I'm sure he's out on bail right now. Good luck Sean. I hope it's not true and you clear your name.
