a quick search.... SMF is pretty sound and is free. This is mobile http://smf-media.com/

For phpBB(frankly sorta sucks) http://www.artodia.com/phpbb-styles/mobile/ but not entirely mobile at a glance, it shows a different theme on mobile devices.

if you can grab a current version of vbulletin a range of stuff here https://www.google.com/search?q=vbu...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

    For Zenforo http://xenforo.com/community/resources/responsive-design.1189/

    hope that helps,
    Nigel

Vanilla forum has a mobile version. It also has a plugin called "Pockets" that allows you to place ads in specific spots on the forum. http://vanillaforums.org/
