I know this is all about SEO but really I have stopped checking it, I come back again today to see what people are saying. It looks almost identical to how it did when I looked last time. There is always someone new asking what is SEO or what is on page optimisation etc... I really think these people should be using the search button. I have to vent a bit of frustration because I have always thought this could be a good place to share techniques for those in the know! If you are not in the know then you can search there will be 1000s of threads asking what SEO is or any other questions for beginners!
Lot's of people want to come on and post their threads repeating the same old same old trying to make themselves look knowledgable, so much so it's like being in a ruddy loop of boring yawning repetitiveness. But what can you do... It's amazing how many come on and rewrite similar thread topics to ones the week b4 and the week b4 and week b4 and well you get the picture... But then the advice people get is Post on Froums Post on Blogs Add site to directory blah blabh blah So these threads are all the results of people trying to do this for "fourms".
True, I really would love to go somewhere on here though were I can actually speak to people who understand what SEO is and give me little tips and hints on how to rank higher rather than the same old blubber. We all have a site we would like to go a little better and if all the brains on here got together we could all make a fortune!
I am sure you are probably not the only one avantmedia. But it's difficult to even get a thread on track properly half the time. People will oft come into a thread and disagree throwing some other view in but do so having ulterior or hidden motives for the thing they are advocating/selling...
Once again, after all those updates - CONTENT has remained king and links are queen of course. The most common mistake people make is not being consistent with their seo efforts and that looks very sketchy in the google's eyes.
You don't need to be that strict though. What I was referring to is people creating 3000 backlinks in a day and then pause the SEO campaign for weeks.
3000 backlinks? in a day? I guess it is the real answer why the spam comment was increased 3000% in my blog.
It's funny I have masses of page 1 search results but rarely do any backlinking (I mean perhaps the odd comment on a blog once in a blue moon) outside my own network of sites. This thread within 4 or 5 posts though has turned into an example of just what I meant above. Quite what post #5 had to do with the posts above it are anyone ones guess IMHO.
what makes me laugh even more i posted out of frustration yet i still got seo tips that i already knew!
And not even any good tip either IMHO. We have to bear in mind though that DP operates on a need for threads/posts to be able to display advertising to cover the costs of running it. It's part and parcel a nature of the beast to have such thread posting going on. Gets a bit boring but, again as a I said above, what can you do...
