    Yes, Directory Submission is still effective to do.
    Do Niche Directory submission for more benefit and also can do Regional directory submission for specific country domain extension sites.

    Depends on the directories. There are many directories that have a large number of visitors looking for links and websites (not just webmasters looking for linkbacks)
