I was wondering if there is a way for me to create a demo video of my on screen movements? I want to make a demo on how to use this software and thought that a video of me doing this stuff on screen would be great... Is there special software for this?

Are there any freeware / opensource software that does screen capture recording? I did notice Camtasia but its quite expensive.

Thanks for the tip... I had heard of snag it and know of a few tech writers who use it but didn't know they had a video capture program too!

$299 is a little steep but I know this is quality stuff

Windows Media Encoder or Camtasia would be a nice solution

You can try hypercam, I've used it and it's pretty simple. I believe it's free...
